TRUMP - Venezuela... Now what?
On January 3, 2026, Donald Trump removed Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro from power in a military coup so that he could be tried in the US for supporting drug trafficking. WAS IT RIGHT? LET'S EXAMINE IT FROM A CHRISTIAN PERSPECTIVE!

Maduro had countless opportunities in recent years to peacefully step down from power, to end his anti-US policy, his involvement in the drug trade, his oppression of the Venezuelan people, and his support for the trade that harms the US of other world powers (Russia, China)… but he didn't! He ignored several warnings from the US.
That's why his fate overtook him, not because of Trump's "war"! Maduro didn't care that his actions were causing serious damage to the world's most powerful power. No, it made him even more bloodthirsty and aggressive. Hundreds of thousands died as victims of the drug trade from Venezuela to the US, and China and Russia benefited from the Venezuelan oil industry built by the US for hundreds of billions.
Trump had enough! So the "war" was not started by him, but by Maduro!
But as I explained in my previous blogs, in judging (decisioning) the case, let us try to rely not on our human reason, but on the laws of God and the universal truth of the Bible. Because only in this way can we judge everything correctly.
Let's briefly list the events and reasons:
1. The people of Venezuela suffered for years under Maduro's rule and dictatorship. Free and democratic elections were not held, Maduro ruled as a true dictator.
2. Maduro openly opposed the USA, seriously harming its people and interests, both morally and materially. He ignored the fact that South America (as part of the American Continent, by right) belongs to the US sphere of interest.
3. Maduro and his government supported the drug trade, i.e. they engaged in a kind of terrorist activity.
4. Despite all this, President Trump did not kill him (although he could have easily done so), but subjected him to legal proceedings so that he could have defended himself legally.
Well, let's analyze these facts from a Christian perspective:
1. The people of Venezuela are grateful to be able to look forward to free elections - YES, this is the fundamental right of peoples' sovereignty and self-determination. YES, this is fully consistent with Christian and biblical principles. In other words, the removal of Maduro was justified and necessary from a Christian perspective.
2. The USA, as a country that has been suffering under Maduro's "war" for years, defended itself. It protected its own interests. After all, Jesus never says that we should not resist evil. On the contrary, it is not aggression, nor giving up on peace, but pure self-defense (protection of human lives and property rights). In other words, the exercise of self-defense by the USA was justified from a Christian perspective as well.
3. I think it would be unnecessary to add an explanation to the negative nature of the drug trade. In other words, President Trump acted perfectly correctly from this Christian perspective as well.
4. Giving him the right to defend himself and give an account was also a humane and Christian action. In other words, this is also in line with Christian expectations, according to which even criminals have the right to fair moral treatment and proceedings.
Overall, we can say that President Trump and the US action against Maduro is fully compatible with biblical and Christian principles. Therefore, if we adhere to these laws laid down by God, our decision regarding the matter cannot be anything other than to support President Trump's actions and policies…
